Workers’ Rights Commended

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a congratulatory cable from the head of the executive council of the Free Trade Union Federation of Bahrain on the occasion of International Workers’ Day.
In the message, council chief Yacoub Yusuf Mohammed extended greetings on behalf of the federation’s members, describing May 1 as a day that reflects the values of work and contribution, and highlighting the role of workers in national development.
He praised the king’s continued royal patronage and support for Bahraini workers, saying his directives had helped strengthen labour rights, improve working conditions, and ensure a safe and stable work environment.
The union official also commended the king’s leadership in addressing regional challenges, including regional tensions, saying government measures had helped safeguard national security and maintain economic and labour stability.
He added that Bahrain’s labour market remained resilient despite challenges and reaffirmed the union’s commitment to national unity and continued support for stability and development.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a congratulatory cable from the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Free Trade Union Federation on the occasion of International Workers’ Day.
In the message, Yaqoub Youssef Mohammed extended his best wishes to the Crown Prince, commending Bahrain’s continued commitment to supporting workers and strengthening labour rights and stability in the Kingdom.
