Foreign Minister Holds Call with Greek Counterpart on Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments
Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, held a telephone conversation with Giorgos Gerapetritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Greece.
During the call, both sides reviewed the strong relations between Bahrain and Greece and discussed ways to further expand bilateral cooperation and strengthen their partnership in support of shared interests.
The ministers also addressed key regional developments, including the implications of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz and its potential impact on global energy security, food supplies, and international trade.
They further exchanged views on enhancing coordination through their respective roles at the United Nations Security Council, particularly during Bahrain’s presidency of the Council this month, with the aim of supporting international peace and security.
