NIHR Chairperson Meets German Ambassador to Strengthen Human Rights Cooperation
Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights, received Henning Georg Simon, Ambassador of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the field of human rights.
Al Derazi praised the growing collaboration between the institution and the German Embassy, noting its positive contribution to advancing Bahrain’s human rights framework and reflecting the strong ties between the two countries.
The meeting reviewed ways to expand joint cooperation, particularly through technical programmes and workshops targeting civil society organisations, aimed at strengthening expertise and institutional capacity in human rights.
The ambassador reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to deepening cooperation through specialised initiatives and programmes, especially in technical areas related to human rights, highlighting the strong and evolving partnership between the two nations.
