Bahrain reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening energy security and operational readiness, as Bapco Energies reviewed its first-quarter performance for 2026 amid evolving regional conditions.

Chairing the board meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that the Kingdom’s progress in the energy sector continues to be guided by the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which aims to position the Kingdom as a leading regional energy hub.

He also underscored the role of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in advancing this vision through practical initiatives that enhance stability, strengthen preparedness, and enable the Kingdom to respond confidently to regional developments.

The board praised the strong operational discipline shown across the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring uninterrupted energy supplies and smooth operations nationwide. Emphasis was placed on maintaining the highest standards of employee safety and safeguarding critical infrastructure.

During the meeting, Mark Thomas, Group CEO, presented a detailed report outlining progress on strategic projects, operational efficiency, and measures to enhance resilience and reliability across the organisation.

The session concluded with Bapco Energies renewing its commitment to maintain stable energy supplies, meet local demand without disruption, and uphold operational excellence while adapting to regional changes.
