Bahrain Officials Inspect Sitra Homes After Drone Debris Incident

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) confirmed that four citizens sustained minor injuries and several homes in Sitra were damaged after shrapnel fell from the interception of Iranian drones.
Authorities said the incident was a result of ongoing Iranian aggression, with air defense systems successfully intercepting and destroying the drones. The falling debris caused limited damage to residential properties in the area.
Civil Defence teams and the National Ambulance service were immediately deployed to the scene and are continuing to carry out emergency response procedures, including medical assistance and site safety measures.
In a follow-up inspection, Chief of Public Security Lt. Gen. Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, along with Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa, visited the affected homes in Sitra. They reassured residents and checked on the condition of those impacted.
Officials confirmed that all injuries were minor and that those affected are receiving full medical care.
Lt. Gen. Al Hassan emphasized that Bahrain, under its leadership and strong national institutions, remains resilient and capable of overcoming such challenges. He noted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is closely monitoring the situation and has directed that full support and care be provided to affected residents.
He also highlighted the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, stressing the importance of ensuring citizens’ safety and providing necessary support under all circumstances.
The Chief of Public Security further noted that Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa is closely overseeing the implementation of leadership directives, mobilizing all resources to assist those affected, including shelter arrangements and coordination with relevant authorities to mitigate the impact of the incident.
He affirmed that security agencies continue to perform their duties with professionalism and readiness, ensuring the protection of lives and property while maintaining rapid emergency response capabilities.
For his part, the Capital Governor reiterated that Bahrain’s leadership is committed to deploying all necessary resources to support affected residents promptly, reinforcing community solidarity and the Kingdom’s ability to respond effectively to challenges.
