Live Dashboard Keeps Watch on Bahrain Food Stocks

Contingency plans are already in place for any shock to Bahrain’s food supply, Industry and Commerce Minister, His Excellency Abdulla Fakhro, said.
He gave assurances that stocks of staple goods remain safe and sufficient and that the ministry is tracking supply levels through a live dashboard. In a written reply to MP Khalid Buanaq, H.E. Fakhro said the kingdom’s stock of basic food goods was enough to meet local demand for “an appropriate period”, with imports still reaching the market through different supply routes.
He said the ministry stayed in steady touch with the main traders and suppliers and would act if the data showed any sign of a gap.
