The Ministry of Interior has announced a temporary ban on nighttime maritime activities to ensure the safety of seafarers and the public, amid ongoing security threats facing the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The decision comes in response to continued risks posed by missile and drone attacks, which authorities say present a significant danger to citizens, residents, and those at sea.

Under the directive, all fishing boats and recreational vessels are prohibited from operating between 6:00 PM and 4:00 AM, effective immediately and until further notice. The measure is part of broader efforts to safeguard Bahrain’s coastline and maintain public safety.

The ministry stated that the restriction extends previous regulations governing maritime movement, in line with updated safety protocols outlined in official guidance.

Authorities have urged all seafarers and marine visitors to strictly comply with the ban, avoid approaching coastal areas during restricted hours, and follow safety instructions. Violations may result in legal consequences.

Officials emphasized that the precautionary measures are aimed at enhancing maritime safety and ensuring readiness during the current situation.
