The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced that its air defence systems continue to respond to successive waves of attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to the statement, since the beginning of what it described as “aggressive attacks,” BDF air defence units have successfully intercepted and destroyed 147 missiles and 282 drones aimed at the kingdom.

The General Command praised the high level of combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by its personnel, expressing pride in their advanced operational capabilities. It stated that the performance of its forces reflects strong preparedness and ensures continued protection of Bahrain’s airspace, reinforcing public confidence in national security.

The BDF urged the public to exercise maximum caution for their safety, avoid affected areas and any suspicious objects, and refrain from photographing military operations or sites where debris has fallen. It also called on residents not to spread rumors and to rely solely on official sources and government media outlets for accurate information, alerts, and warnings.

Furthermore, the General Command emphasized that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian areas and private property constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. It warned that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
