Eid Al Fitr prayers were held across mosques and prayer grounds here yesterday morning, in an atmosphere of faith, hope and optimism despite the exceptional circumstances facing the Kingdom amid the repercussions of recent regional developments.

Worshippers gathered from the early hours, filling mosques and designated open areas in a scene reflecting the community’s commitment to observing religious traditions and welcoming Eid with a spirit of calm and devotion.

The prayers coincided with mild spring weather and light rainfall, which many described as a positive sign and a blessing, adding a special atmosphere to the occasion and reinforcing a sense of hope and renewal. During the prayers, worshippers raised their hands in supplication, praying for the continued safety and stability of Bahrain and its people, and for the well-being and success of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

They also prayed for peace and stability across the region, expressing confidence in Bahrain’s ability to overcome challenges through unity and solidarity.

Mosques witnessed smooth organisation and orderly movement of worshippers, reflecting the efforts of authorities in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for prayers.

Following the prayers, people exchanged Eid greetings in scenes that embodied the spirit of the occasion and the values of compassion and social cohesion, highlighting the strength and resilience of Bahraini society.

Separately, the spirit of Eid was also reflected in neighbourhood gatherings across the Kingdom, where families opened their majlis to visitors in a long-standing social tradition. A widely shared remark by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa — “Bahrain is well, as long as its people are its strength” — resonated strongly among citizens as they marked the first day of Eid with hope and optimism.

Homes and majlis were filled with visitors of all ages, as families exchanged greetings and children celebrated in festive attire, while elders gathered to share conversations and memories.

The scenes reflected deep-rooted social bonds and the enduring traditions that define Bahraini society, with gatherings serving as a space to reinforce unity and togetherness, particularly in challenging times.

The celebrations underscored that Eid Al Fitr remains a unifying occasion, bringing together communities and renewing values of compassion, connection and resilience, even amid evolving circumstances.
