Civil Defence teams in the Kingdom of Bahrain have handled around 90 emergency reports over the past few days, including incidents involving drone impacts, fires, and falling debris on buildings and vehicles.

The update was announced during a briefing on Bahrain TV by Captain Abdullah Waheed Al Mannai from the Ministry of Interior, who highlighted the measures taken by authorities to address the current developments and ensure public safety.

According to officials, a hotel and two residential buildings in the Capital Governorate were targeted, but no casualties were reported. Civil Defence teams successfully brought a fire in one apartment under control.

To enhance maritime security, the Coast Guard has increased operational readiness and intensified maritime patrols. Authorities confirmed that the northern maritime restriction remains in place daily from 6 PM to 4 AM.

Authorities also reported successfully countering several cyberattacks and strengthening the protection of national digital systems.

Captain Al Mannai explained that the National Civil Emergency Management Center has been activated to coordinate efforts among various government entities and ensure a rapid and organized response to any emergency situation.

The reported incidents included fires and falling debris in several locations across the Kingdom. Emergency response teams acted swiftly to contain the situations and prevent further damage, demonstrating the efficiency and preparedness of Bahrain’s emergency services.

According to officials, 33 emergency shelters have been prepared across Bahrain. So far, 13 shelters have been activated, with 10 currently hosting evacuees. These shelters are equipped to provide essential services, including accommodation, medical support, and basic necessities.

As part of precautionary measures, educational institutions have temporarily shifted to distance learning, allowing students to continue their studies safely from home. In addition, several government entities have adopted remote working arrangements, with around 70 percent of employees currently working remotely.

Officials also confirmed that essential services, including water, electricity, healthcare, and food supplies, remain stable and continue to operate normally.

The ministry also stressed that the national alarm system designed to protect citizens and residents is activated only when there is a direct threat within Bahrain’s airspace.

“Some explosion sounds may occur due to the interception of Iranian aircraft or drones outside Bahraini airspace,” Al Mannai said.

Authorities urged citizens and residents to follow official guidance, avoid spreading rumors, and rely only on trusted sources for accurate information during this period.
