Strategic Talks to Advance Bahraini Football Led by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad

Manama:  His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa held a meeting with the board of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), alongside committee heads, members, and administrative staff, to review ongoing efforts to advance football in the Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), as well as Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the GSA.

During the discussion, His Highness praised the BFA leadership and its working committees for their role in organizing domestic football and strengthening the performance of Bahrain’s national teams. He reaffirmed his continued support for the association, stressing the importance of sustained development across all levels of the sport.

Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted the progress achieved in local competitions, refereeing standards, and national team development, noting that these efforts align with the broader vision set by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. This strategic direction, he said, has contributed to notable achievements for Bahraini football in recent years.

BFA board members expressed their gratitude for the consistent backing from His Highness, emphasizing that such support plays a vital role in motivating officials and staff to further elevate the standard of football in Bahrain.
