His Excellency Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fudhel Al-Buainain held a press conference yesterday at the Public Prosecution headquarters to announce the key achievements of the Public Prosecution during 2025.
The event was attended by First Public Prosecutor Counselor Wael Bualaai, Assistant to the Attorney General, and First Public Prosecutor Counselor Dr. Ahmed Al-Hammadi, Head of Judicial Inspection.
In his speech, the Attorney General emphasized that the conference reflects the Public Prosecution’s commitment to transparency and communication, highlighting the developmental steps achieved in 2025 in judicial and institutional performance.
He outlined major accomplishments, including organizing an international conference specialized in restorative criminal justice and implementing extensive training programs comprising dozens of courses and workshops attended by hundreds of prosecutors and judicial officers, as part of a comprehensive training vision aimed at enhancing efficiency and performance quality.
Al-Buainain also highlighted efforts to keep pace with rapid technological advancements through specialized lectures and events on modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
He noted the launch of the Criminal Protection Program for Marine Wealth and the Environment, in cooperation with relevant authorities, to support national efforts to preserve the environment and protect natural resources.
He also pointed to the establishment of the Drug Crimes Prosecution to strengthen judicial specialization, emphasizing the severe threat posed by drug-related crimes to community security, public health, and societal stability.
Al-Buainain said the Public Prosecution took significant organizational steps to facilitate services for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
