HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Reviews Progress in National Security Framework

Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, attended a meeting with members of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Defence Council.

The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Adviser and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council.

During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the General Secretariat’s key achievements in 2025, highlighting progress in developing work mechanisms, strengthening coordination, and enhancing institutional readiness in preparation for the next phase. These efforts align with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

His Highness emphasised that the King’s directives place national security as a cornerstone of stability and development, underscoring it as a shared national responsibility that requires the highest levels of preparedness and integration among all relevant entities. He also commended the continuous support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad further highlighted the vital role of the General Secretariat in reinforcing the national security framework, stressing the importance of harnessing all available capabilities to address emerging challenges and ensure the sustainability of national achievements.

He concluded by praising the dedication and professionalism of the Secretariat’s members, emphasising the value of teamwork and building on existing accomplishments in line with His Majesty the King’s vision to strengthen Bahrain’s security, stability, and prosperity.
