Bahrain and Morocco Discuss Strengthening Parliamentary Ties

Shura Council Chairman, H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, received the Chairman of the Moroccan House of Councillors, H.E. Mohamed Ould Rachid, upon his arrival in Bahrain for an official visit on Monday evening. The visit comes in response to an invitation aimed at bolstering fraternal ties between the two kingdoms.

Welcoming the Moroccan delegation, Al Saleh praised the visit as a reflection of the deep-rooted historical relations between Bahrain and Morocco. He highlighted that these strong bonds continue to flourish under the care and leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

For his part, Mohamed Ould Rachid expressed his gratitude for the invitation, noting his keenness to witness Bahrain’s ongoing development. He emphasized the importance of advancing parliamentary relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation to serve the common interests of both nations and their peoples.

The two leaders are scheduled to hold a high-level meeting to discuss joint legislative coordination. The reception was attended by the Shura Council’s first and second deputies, the Secretary-General, and the Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Mustafa Benkhayi.
