Education Minister Meets Boston University Officials

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, met with a delegation from Boston University led by Dr. Penny Bishop, Dean of Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. The meeting was attended by a number of university officials and academics, including the Dean of Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari Teachers College.

During the meeting, the Minister highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari Teachers College and Boston University, which has led to the launch of the Master’s programme in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, as well as the Master’s programme in Curriculum and Teaching.

He added that preparations are currently underway to introduce additional postgraduate programmes, including a Doctor of Education programme, building on the outcomes of the programmes already implemented. The partnership aims to strengthen the professional preparation and development of teachers and school administrators in the Kingdom of Bahrain through collaboration with leading international universities.
