Flipperachi Confirms India Tour After ‘Fa9la’ Craze
Bahraini rap artist Flipperachi, also known as Hussam Aseem, has confirmed that an India tour is officially in the works, following the massive popularity of his track Fa9la in the country. Speaking about his growing Indian fan base, the artist said preparations are underway and dates will be announced soon.
“There’s definitely a tour in the works, and we’re working on the dates. I’ll be announcing performance dates soon,” he revealed, raising excitement among fans eager to see him perform live.
Alongside touring plans, Flipperachi also hinted at potential collaborations with leading names from the Indian hip-hop scene. He shared that artists such as Badshah and Param are on his wishlist, adding that some original collaborations may already be in progress. “I might or might not be working on some original collabs right now! Can’t say more at this stage,” he said, keeping details under wraps.
Flipperachi’s surge in popularity across India comes on the back of Fa9la becoming a viral sensation, particularly after being featured in the Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar. Often compared to the viral hit Jamal Kudu, the track has evolved into a signature villain anthem for audiences nationwide.
While Fa9la was originally released as a fun, party-driven track in early 2024, its placement in Dhurandhar—during a dramatic entry scene featuring Akshaye Khanna’s character—gave the song a darker, edgier identity. Reflecting on the moment, Flipperachi said the film’s creative team had a sharp ear for the track’s underlying tone. “The song is definitely a party track, but it does have a bit of darkness to it in the production,” he explained.
The artist described watching the scene unfold on screen as a special moment, adding that it heightened his excitement for the film’s release and its eventual impact.
The song’s reach expanded even further when Bollywood star Ranveer Singh shared Fa9la on his Instagram, introducing it to an even wider audience. Although Flipperachi has not yet interacted directly with the cast, he expressed openness to future collaborations, calling Ranveer a Bollywood icon.
Addressing the curiosity around the song’s lyrics, Flipperachi clarified that the term Fa9la, commonly heard in the chant “Ya Akhi Doos Doos,” is Bahraini slang that loosely translates to turning up, letting loose, dancing, and having fun. He believes this universal energy helped bridge cultures and connect listeners in Bahrain and India.
Despite a career spanning over two decades and collaborations with international artists like Shaggy and The Game, Flipperachi said his Bollywood breakthrough represents a different level of success. “This moment has for sure turned critics and skeptics into believers. The Indian audience is amazing, and I’m very happy and grateful my music found them,” he said.
As he looks ahead to touring, collaborations, and experiencing India firsthand, Flipperachi added with a smile that he is especially excited about one thing: “I’m very excited to have Indian food in India.”
