In the coming years, the driving forces of international relations will be competition for human and material resources, technological breakthroughs, shifting power balances, and significant demographic changes. These dynamics are reshaping how nations cooperate and compete on the global stage.
In this context, Brazil stands out for its agricultural sector, which ranks among the most productive and diverse in the world, contributing to global food supplies and enhancing food security at a time when climate pressures and supply chain disruptions make stability more essential than ever.
Brazil’s leadership extends to clean energy as well. With a predominantly renewable power mix anchored in hydropower, wind, and solar, the country enjoys a competitive edge for powering digital infrastructure and AI data centres that require reliable, affordable energy while minimising carbon footprints.
Another source of strategic advantage lies in Brazil’s critical minerals. The country holds one of the world’s largest rare earth reserves, second only to China, offering a unique resource base for electric vehicles, wind turbines, electronics, and other technologies driving the green economy.
Diplomatically, Brazil’s long tradition of constructive engagement and bridge building in multilateral forums - from the United Nations to BRICS - positions it as a trusted voice in advancing cooperation on shared global priorities. These include climate action, sustainable development, and governance reform.
Ultimately, in a rapidly evolving global landscape, countries that combine abundant natural resources, technological innovation, and inclusive governance will be well positioned to help define the future. Brazil possesses both the capacity and the responsibility to be among these influential actors.
