Cold spell to peak Monday as winds strengthen

The Meteorology Department at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has forecast the return of northerly winds starting Saturday, following a brief easing in wind intensity on Thursday and Friday.
According to the department, temperatures are expected to gradually decline again as northwesterly winds become more active, increasing the wind chill across the country. The coldest conditions are forecast for Monday, when the chill is expected to peak.
The department urged the public to follow daily weather bulletins and take necessary precautions as colder and windier conditions return in the coming days.
