Forty Innovative Concepts Advance to Next Phase of Fikra Government Competition
Forty innovative concepts have qualified for the next stage of the seventh edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing public sector performance and fostering a culture of creativity.
From the shortlisted concepts, twelve will be selected after a detailed evaluation conducted by a committee of specialised government officials, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Participants who advanced to this phase will undergo an intensive training programme focused on presentation and pitching skills. The training, organised in partnership with Babson College in the United States, is designed to prepare individuals and teams to effectively present their ideas before a panel of experts. The programme will conclude on 15 December, ahead of the final assessment stage.
Fikra continues to play a vital role in developing government services in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which emphasises sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness. The competition further underscores the importance of engaging public sector employees in driving innovation and supporting the Kingdom’s ongoing development.
