Minister of Municipalities Receives Arab Government Excellence Award 2025

During the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025 ceremony, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture received the award in the Special Recognition category for the project “National Program for Community Empowerment through Agricultural Training.”

His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, emphasized the importance of the support provided to Bahrain’s agricultural sector within the Kingdom’s comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, may God protect him, and guided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. He highlighted that this support strengthens community participation in agricultural development and opens new horizons for innovation and sustainability.

His Excellency received the award during the fourth edition of the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025 for the project “National Program for Community Empowerment through Agricultural Training,” within the Special Recognition category. The ceremony was held under the gracious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. It was attended by H.E. Mohammed Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Government Excellence Award Organization, H.E. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al Faheem, Director General of Public Diplomacy at the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, along with several Arab ministers and officials, at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Egypt.

His Excellency affirmed that the directives of His Majesty the King, aimed at developing the agricultural sector and empowering Bahraini farmers, serve as a key driver behind the progress of community-based agricultural initiatives, including the “Community Empowerment” project. He noted that this project is one of the successful national models contributing to increased agricultural awareness and strengthened food security. He added that the Government, led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has translated this vision into its priorities by supporting sustainable agricultural projects.
