Goa Tourism Hosts Vibrant ‘Goa Evening’ in Manama, Bahrain

Goa Tourism, Government of Goa, showcased the culture, charm, and tourism potential of India’s coastal paradise during a vibrant “Goa Evening” held at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain. The event drew diplomats, business leaders, travel partners, media representatives, and members of the Indian community for an immersive cultural and promotional experience.

The evening began with arrival and registration, followed by a warm welcome address that highlighted the strong cultural and tourism ties between India and Bahrain. Traditional Goan folk dance performances set the tone for the event, captivating the audience with their rhythm, colour, and authenticity.

A key highlight of the program was the Destination Presentation, featuring films and updates on Goa’s tourism offerings—ranging from beaches, heritage sites, cuisine, festivals, and eco-tourism to new initiatives aimed at enhancing visitor experience. Officials from Goa Tourism addressed the gathering, underscoring the state’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the GCC region and expanding travel collaborations with Bahrain.

His Excellency Mr. Vinod K. Jacob, the Ambassador of India to Bahrain, delivered a special address during the event, where he commended the efforts of Goa Tourism in promoting India as a premier travel destination. He emphasized the deep cultural connections shared between the two regions and encouraged Bahrain’s travel industry to pursue greater partnership opportunities. Following the address, Mr. Kuldeep U. Arolkar, Managing Director of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., provided a briefing on the various tourism-related activities and initiatives.

The event was also attended by key dignitaries, including Ms. Fatima Ahmed, President of the Association of Bahrain Travel and Tour Agents; Mr. Hussain Zaman, Country Manager for Gulf Air; and Mr. Noel Fernandes, President of the Young Goans Club.

A folk dance performance added to the festive spirit before the evening concluded with a networking dinner, where guests interacted with tourism officials, explored collaborative opportunities, and shared insights on travel trends.
