Maraee 2025 returns with a wider footprint and a stronger focus on community as preparations move forward for what organisers say will be its most engaging edition yet.

Scheduled to be held from December 9 to 13, 2025, the event reflects the growing regional momentum for large-scale agricultural fairs that combine education and leisure for broad public appeal.

Set to bring together 13 government entities and 22 supporting organisations, the exhibition continues to evolve into a multi-purpose celebration of Bahrain’s farming culture, youth participation and family-friendly entertainment.

H.E. Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, said this year’s edition will feature expanded spaces, a greater number of exhibitors and a richer variety of activities.

“With the united efforts of Team Bahrain, we are confident that this edition will truly stand out and achieve remarkable success,” H.E. the Minister noted.

The exhibition has grown beyond its traditional agriculture profile, now serving as a marketplace for farmers and breeders, an educational platform for young people and a recreational outing for families and tourists.

Youth Engagement

Gulf University continues to play an active role in the event. Prof. Mohanned Alfiras, President of Gulf University, said more than 50 students will support event organisation, with an additional 25 handling media coverage.

This marks the third consecutive year of the university’s involvement, which he said students are enthusiastic to continue.

Their participation also strengthens the event’s educational dimension and encourages young people to engage with Bahrain’s agriculture and livestock sectors.

Animal Highlights

Visitors will be able to explore 17 dedicated animal exhibitions, including 40 cows from 12 breeds, 300 sheep from 16 breeds, 40 horses from 10 breeds, 40 cats from 16 breeds, 30 camels, more than 2,000 pigeons and over 2,200 ornamental birds.

The line-up also includes specialised poultry and falcon displays.

Alongside the animal exhibitions, the event will host a market for animal supplies and accessories, the Agricultural Village, the Date Palm Exhibition, the Farmers’ Market and the Agricultural Innovations Pavilion.

Maraee 2025 aims to deliver a complete day-out experience for families, learners and agriculture enthusiasts as it highlights Bahrain’s commitment to agricultural development, community engagement and cultural heritage.
