Bahrain Schoolgirl Celebrates 8th Birthday by Donating Hair for Cancer Patients
Manama: Aditi Amaljith, a second‑grade student at the Indian School in Bahrain, set an inspiring example by donating her hair on her eighth birthday to make wigs for cancer patients.
Embracing charity as a birthday gift, Aditi donated her long hair at a salon that makes wigs for the Bahrain Cancer Society (BCS), which provides these wigs completely free of charge to cancer patients, including children.
Aditi is the daughter of Amaljith and Shilpa, natives of Kodungallur, Kerala, who are working in Bahrain and fully supported their daughter’s noble act.
Her hair donation strengthens this crucial initiative. Those interested in donating hair (minimum length 21 cm) can contact the Bahrain Cancer Care Group at 33750999.
