Evaluations Complete for 13th eGovernment Excellence Award 2025; Winners to Be Announced Soon

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has completed the evaluation of submissions for the 13th edition of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2025, marking another significant milestone in Bahrain’s journey towards digital innovation and transformation. Winners across public and private sectors, as well as individual categories, will be announced soon.

This year’s evaluation was conducted by a distinguished panel of local and international ICT and digital-transformation experts, following the highest benchmarks of excellence. The jury was chaired by Mr. Alexander Felsenberg, an international digital expert and Board Member of the UN SDG World Summit Award (WSA), who also serves as Chairman of the WSA Germany Nomination Committee. Mr. Abdulla Habib, a private-sector representative and specialist in digital systems development, acted as Vice Chairman.

The committee featured a diverse range of experts, including:

Dr. Esra Ahmed Wali, representing the academic sector in IT, scientific research, and innovation.

Mrs. Najwa Abdul Rahim, an authority in technology-driven transformation and ICT strategy.

Ms. Daneh Al Rayes, an expert in smart cities from civil society institutions.

Dr. Aisha Bushager, specialising in e-learning and cybersecurity from the financial sector.

Dr. Mohammed Baqer, a technology and engineering expert representing academia.

Mrs. Samya Hussain, experienced in corporate communication, community engagement, and social responsibility.

Mr. Esam Hadi, a digital transformation leader and IT expert.

Mr. Ali Beshara, cybersecurity expert representing the information security sector.

The committee meticulously evaluated digital projects submitted this year, ensuring that innovation, efficiency, and transformative impact were carefully measured in each entry. The results underscore Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing cutting-edge digital solutions that drive excellence across both government and private sectors.

iGA has announced that the date for the 13th eGovernment Excellence Award winners’ ceremony will be revealed soon, promising another momentous celebration of innovation, collaboration, and digital leadership in the Kingdom.
