HRH the Crown Prince Receives NIHR Council, Reaffirms Bahrain’s Human Rights Commitment

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, and members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness was presented with the 12th edition of the NIHR’s annual report.

His Royal Highness reaffirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to advance initiatives that strengthen and uphold human rights, in line with the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He commended the NIHR’s achievements under His Majesty’s leadership, noting their alignment with the principles of the National Action Charter, the Constitution, national legislation, and international human rights conventions.

For their part, Eng. Alderazi and the members of the NIHR Council expressed their appreciation for His Royal Highness’ continuous support of the institution’s efforts to enhance human rights protections and promote Bahrain’s standing as a nation committed to dignity, justice, and equality.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, also attended the meeting.
