Bahrain Welcomes Thailand–Cambodia Ceasefire Agreement
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its warm welcome to the ceasefire agreement signed between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, under the auspices of U.S. President Donald Trump. The accord was reached on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Bahrain hailed the agreement as a vital step toward safeguarding civilian lives and laying the foundations for lasting peace. The Ministry emphasized that such diplomatic efforts contribute to promoting the mutual interests of both friendly nations and their peoples, while strengthening regional security, stability, and cooperation.
The statement reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aligned with international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles and objectives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), aimed at fostering peace and prosperity in the region.
