Bahrain International Airport Certified with "High Rating"
Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has achieved a high rating in a rigorous health security assessment, confirming its commitment to the highest global standards for public health and safety at border crossings.
The Ministry of Health, in close coordination with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), conducted a comprehensive field assessment of BIA's core capacities for implementing the International Health Regulations (IHR). The evaluation team, which included representatives from the GCC Committee for IHR Implementation and Bahrain’s own IHR team, carried out the review in cooperation with the Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) and other relevant port authorities.
