Dubai Airshow 2025 to Launch Largest-Ever Space Pavilion
Space is set to take center stage at Dubai Airshow 2025 (DAS25), with the unveiling of the event’s largest-ever Space Pavilion, organized in partnership with the UAE Space Agency. The five-day space programme promises to bring together international space agencies, pioneering tech companies, startups, investors, and academia, forging new collaborations and accelerating the commercialisation of space technologies.
H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sport and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, emphasized: “The UAE’s space initiatives drive economic diversification and position the nation as a global hub of innovation. The Space Pavilion strengthens partnerships, attracts investment, and contributes to the sustainable growth of the global space economy, projected to exceed $1 trillion by 2040.”
At the heart of the Airshow, the two-day Space Conference on the Aerospace 2050 Stage (17–18 November) will feature over 50 global experts, astronauts, and industry leaders, addressing responsible space use, emerging technologies, future exploration missions, and investment opportunities in the space sector.
Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp will join a fireside chat on 17 November to discuss the future of commercial space exploration and its potential benefits for life on Earth. Other participants include leaders from NASA, ESA, the UK Space Agency, Singapore’s Office for Space Technology & Industry, the Bahrain Space Agency, and the Italian Space Agency.
Beyond the conference, the Pavilion offers interactive experiences for attendees, including Astronaut Encounters with Dr. Sian Leo Proctor and Claude Nicollier, student-focused sessions, SkyView meet-and-greets, and startup competitions through the Vista platform. One standout initiative is the OrbitX: Agile Space Systems Challenge, launched with FADA and EDGE Group, inviting startups to design next-generation micro-satellite systems and orbital networks.
The Airshow also emphasizes youth engagement through the NextGen Leaders programme and Youth Circles, inspiring students to explore careers in space, science, and technology.
H.E. Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, stated: “Dubai Airshow 2025 is a pivotal platform for international collaboration. By uniting agencies, innovators, and entrepreneurs, we strengthen the UAE’s role as a global hub for space exploration and commercialisation.”
The UAE is driving momentum in the Middle East and Africa space-tech market, projected to grow at a 9.1% CAGR through 2030, with projects including the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt and the development of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites.
H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of MBRSC, said: “The largest-ever Space Pavilion demonstrates the growing importance of space as a driver of innovation and economic opportunity, inspiring the next generation of explorers.”
Confirmed participants at DAS25 include MBRSC, Space42, FADA, TII, Airbus, Thales Alenia Space, Starlink, ST Engineering, ICEYE, Innospace, Eutelsat OneWeb, VAST, BlackSky, Neo Space Group, alongside experts from international space agencies.
Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, added: “Our exhibits, from AI-powered Earth observation to next-gen propulsion systems, reflect Abu Dhabi’s bold vision for space exploration and highlight breakthrough technologies with real-world impact.”
As the UAE expands its leadership in space exploration and innovation, Dubai Airshow 2025 promises to be a defining platform where vision meets action—uniting global space leaders, startups, and the next generation to shape the future of the space economy.
