Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, affirmed that tree-planting initiatives represent one of the key components for achieving sustainable tourism. She noted that green spaces contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of tourist destinations and reflect the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to maintaining a balance between economic development and environmental preservation.
This came during the Minister’s participation in planting a tree as part of the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s involvement in the Tree Week activities, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and in the presence of Sarah Ahmed Buhejji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
