Bahraini Architect Abdullah Bin Hindi Wins Khalifa Bin Salman Foundation Creative Design Competition

Manama, October 15 (BNA) – The Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Foundation has announced that Bahraini architect and artist Abdullah Bin Hindi has won the foundation’s Creative Design Competition for Art Installations. His winning design will be featured as a centerpiece during the official opening ceremony of the foundation’s new headquarters.

The selected artwork embodies the foundation’s mission to empower youth, support education, and serve the community. It creatively bridges abstract form and interactive experience, symbolizing innovation, engagement, and a forward-looking spirit.

On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Foundation, said the winning piece will serve as a lasting symbol of the foundation’s values and initiatives. She added that unveiling the artwork will mark a milestone in the foundation’s move to its new premises — a transition that ushers in a new chapter of charitable work and community-focused projects.

Expressing his gratitude, Abdullah Bin Hindi said he was honored by the recognition, thanking the organizers and members of the foundation for providing Bahraini youth from various creative, artistic, and engineering fields with the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Bin Hindi is a renowned Bahraini architect and artist who merges spatial design with sculptural storytelling. He is the founder of Toyio, a brand specializing in cultural toy design, and a partner at Shepherd Studio, an award-winning creative firm. His works — which span conceptual art and architectural installations — have been featured on global platforms including Wallpaper, Dezeen, Designboom, and Hypebeast*, earning him international acclaim, including the Wallpaper Design Award.
