“Young Parliamentarian 2025” Sparks Inspiring Dialogue on Shaping Positive Influence in Society
As part of the eighth edition of the “Young Parliamentarian 2025” program, the Youth Pioneer Society, in collaboration with the Shura Council, and with strategic support from the British Embassy in Bahrain and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Institute, hosted an engaging youth discussion panel titled “How to Influence Your Community.” The event also featured media partnerships with AlAyam Newspaper and Daily Tribune.
The vibrant session transformed into an open platform for ideas and exchange, bringing together social influencers and aspiring young leaders from across Bahrain to explore the power of positive influence, its responsible practice, and the real-life experiences that shape impactful leadership.
Bridging academia, media, and volunteerism
During the dialogue, Dr. Fatima Marhoon delved into the academic dimension of influence, emphasizing how awareness and intellectual growth form the backbone of leadership. Mr. Mohammed Al-Sayed, drawing from his media background, addressed the challenges of today’s digital openness, urging young people to manage their online influence with responsibility and purpose. Meanwhile, Ms. Fatima Al-Khaja reflected on her journey in youth and humanitarian work, underscoring how volunteerism and social initiatives can transform obstacles into opportunities and nurture community spirit.
Influence with integrity
The discussion also touched on the blurred lines between meaningful and superficial content in the age of social media. Participants explored how young people can cultivate sustainable, value-driven influence while navigating modern challenges and opportunities.
As the session concluded, speakers united around a shared message: true influence begins with authenticity, values, and credibility. They praised the Bahraini youth’s vision, awareness, and ambition, affirming that empowering them is not only an investment in individual potential but also a cornerstone for sustainable national growth and cultural identity.
