Bahraini Youth Ambassadors Take Part in World Youth Festival in Russia

Members of the Bahraini Youth Ambassadors Program, Dr. Walaa Hassan and Rabab Khalaf, participated in the World Youth Festival, held in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The event brought together over 2,000 young participants from Russia and 120 other countries.

The participation reflects the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ strategy to empower ambassadors of the program by engaging them in unique international experiences that highlight the positive image of Bahraini youth, while creating opportunities for cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing with peers worldwide.

The festival was launched under the theme “In Russia” and featured seven key tracks: media, creative industries and arts, public administration, entrepreneurship, education and science, sports, and digitalization.

On its opening day alone, the festival hosted more than 80 activities with the involvement of 200 Russian speakers and around 60 experts from 39 different countries.

Dr. Walaa Hassan and Rabab Khalaf took part in several high-profile panel discussions, including “Youth Soft Power: How the Young Generation is Changing the World”, which explored the role of young people in shaping their nations’ futures and driving positive global change. The program also included interactive workshops, project showcases, and advisory sessions.

Participants engaged in discussions on contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence, financial literacy, and digital entrepreneurship, alongside intensive training programs in new media and content creation. The festival also offered innovative cultural, artistic, and sports experiences, highlighting diversity and openness.

The closing program saw 200 youth participants embark on field visits across 10 Russian regions, gaining firsthand insight into the country’s cultural and economic diversity. The World Youth Festival served as a global platform for young talents to exchange ideas and build shared visions for a better future.
