An Asian man who admitted running unlicensed dental work from his home has been remanded in custody pending investigation, the Public Prosecution announced.
The Chief Prosecutor said a report from the Criminal Investigation Directorate at the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence indicated the man was practising medicine without a licence.
Enquiries confirmed he had been carrying out dentistry in his residence.
Coordination
After coordination with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), officers arrested him at home and seized medical instruments and supplies.
Prosecutors questioned the suspect, who confessed to the charge. The seized items have been retained, and the case is being prepared for referral to the criminal court.
