Bahrain and Italy Explore Stronger Youth Cooperation
Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs, H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, met with Italy’s Minister of Sport and Youth, H.E. Andrea Abodi, during her official visit to Italy to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the youth sector.
At the meeting, Minister Tawfiqi highlighted the deep and growing ties between Bahrain and Italy, stressing the importance of advancing youth-related initiatives to match the progress in other fields. She underlined the need for joint programs and initiatives that help build young people’s skills and expand opportunities for their active participation.
Both sides explored the exchange of successful experiences in youth development and the creation of a framework for joint projects and initiatives between the two countries. Discussions also touched on establishing structured cooperation that supports sustainable development goals and practical initiatives for empowering youth.
The meeting also reviewed the achievements of the Hope Network, which plays a key role in strengthening youth engagement. Minister Tawfiqi emphasized the importance of Italy’s active role within the network, while Minister Abodi expressed his country’s readiness to support youth-focused projects and to promote cultural and knowledge exchange between Bahraini and Italian youth.
Minister Abodi praised Bahrain’s efforts in boosting youth cooperation and reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to developing joint projects that further strengthen the friendship between the two nations.
