The Ministry of Interior announced that, as part of its efforts to support the social and humanitarian aspects of its reform and rehabilitation programs, the General Directorate for the Implementation of Sentences and Alternative Punishments recently organized a summer activity for the children of participants in alternative sentences and open prison programs.
The program featured a variety of educational and recreational activities aimed at developing skills, fostering teamwork, and encouraging active participation. These events provided children with practical knowledge and experiences that positively influence their behavior and community engagement.
Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate for the Implementation of Sentences and Alternative Punishments, emphasized that such activities complement the ministry’s reform programs by including social care and family rehabilitation. He noted that these initiatives help create a stable family environment, support children’s development, and enhance the successful reintegration of participants into society.
