Bahrain Launches “Bahraini Hands” Store to Support Family Businesses

As part of ongoing efforts to empower Bahraini families and boost their contribution to the national economy, the Ministry of Social Development has opened the “Bahraini Hands” store, featuring products from family-run businesses. The store is located at the Mubarak Bin Jassim Kano Comprehensive Social Center in the Sanabis area.

The new store is part of the ministry’s strategy to provide sustainable marketing outlets for family businesses. It aims to strengthen production and marketing processes by offering direct access to consumers, improving project management methods, and enhancing product quality.

On the occasion, Ms. Inas Mohammed Al Majed, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, highlighted that the launch of “Bahraini Hands” is part of a broader plan to increase marketing channels and showcase local creativity. She added that the store complements the Ministry’s Capital Complex, offering more opportunities for family businesses to reach consumers and present high-quality products.

Al Majed noted that the initiative aligns with Bahrain’s vision of encouraging community entrepreneurship and fostering creativity in independent work. Specific spaces in the center have been dedicated to displaying and selling family business products.

She also emphasized that the ministry places special focus on programs that support and empower family-run enterprises, contributing to economic and social development. This includes developing home industries, traditional and heritage products, improving their quality, and increasing their competitiveness in local and global markets.
