Bahrain Strengthens Diplomatic Ties with Friendly Nations, Says Deputy Prime Minister
His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to strengthen its relations with friendly and brotherly nations. He emphasized that Bahrain’s foreign policy has long been based on openness and constructive cooperation with countries worldwide, aligning with the nation’s comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.
The remarks came during a meeting at Gudaibiya Palace this morning with newly appointed Bahraini ambassadors to several friendly countries. The ambassadors present were Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, appointed to Belgium; Mr. Khalil Yacoub Al Khayat, appointed to Thailand; and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qaraines, appointed to Germany.
During the meeting, Sheikh Khalid congratulated the ambassadors on receiving the royal trust, praising their expertise and diplomatic experience. He highlighted the important role they will play in promoting Bahrain’s presence abroad, safeguarding the interests of Bahraini citizens, and ensuring that they receive the necessary support and care while overseas.
His Excellency also urged the ambassadors to intensify efforts to expand cooperation with the countries they represent Bahrain in, while showcasing the Kingdom’s distinctive values of moderation and proactive engagement in international relations. He wished them success in fulfilling their national responsibilities with dedication and excellence.
In response, the ambassadors expressed their sincere gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Bahrain’s international presence and fostering stronger cooperation with friendly nations to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
