Bahrain, U.S. Discuss Military Cooperation and Regional Security
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King and Crown Prince, met today at Al-Qudaibiya Palace with Steven C. Bondy, U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain, and U.S. Navy Admiral George Wikoff, Commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet. The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and other senior officials.
The Crown Prince praised the strong and long-standing ties between Bahrain and the United States, especially in military and defense cooperation. He highlighted the importance of continuing joint efforts under agreements like the Comprehensive Security and Prosperity Integration Agreement.
The meeting also discussed regional and international developments and issues of shared interest. His Royal Highness emphasized the key role of the United States in supporting security and peace in the region and around the world.
