More Than 100 AUBH Students Conclude 2025–2026 Summer Internships

More than 100 students from the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) have completed their summer internship programs for the 2025–2026 academic year, reflecting AUBH’s commitment to equipping graduates with the specialist knowledge, practical experience, and professional capabilities required to succeed in an evolving job market.

This year, students completed placements with a diverse group of prominent organizations across Bahrain, including Al Salam Bank, Gulf Air, Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), Beyon, Racing Force, Talabat, Benefit, Bahrain Airport Company, ASRY, Khaleeji Bank, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), Investcorp, and Bapco Energies, among others.

AUBH’s Career Center worked closely with the participating organizations to identify placements suited to each student’s academic background and professional interests. Participants represented a range of disciplines, including computer science, finance, management, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, multimedia, and more, providing them with exposure to career opportunities across several of Bahrain’s key industries.

Dr. Amal Alwaadhi, Dean of Students at the American University of Bahrain, highlighted the importance of internships in ensuring that students graduate with both a strong academic foundation and relevant workplace experience. 

“At AUBH, learning extends beyond the classroom. We want our students to test their knowledge, take on meaningful responsibilities, and develop their capabilities within professional environments. This year, more than 100 students had the opportunity to work on assignments and projects related to their fields of study, giving them valuable insight into their chosen industries and strengthening their readiness for employment,” Dr. Alawadhi said.

“We are grateful to our partner organizations for welcoming our students and investing their time and expertise in their development. Their support gives young talent the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals and better understand what will be expected of them after graduation. Such collaboration is essential to maintaining a close connection between higher education and the the job market, while developing professionals who can contribute effectively across Bahrain’s economy,” she added.
