INJAZ Bahrain and Bahrain EDB Launch Second Edition of EconoQuesters Program

INJAZ Bahrain has concluded the second edition of the EconoQuesters Program, delivered in collaboration with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB).

The four-week programme brought together 12 INJAZ alumni in their third and fourth years of university. Participants were divided into three teams and tasked with assessing Bahrain’s performance in a selected priority sector. They examined the Kingdom’s competitiveness within the region and developed practical recommendations based on their research.

The programme was designed to give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a real-world challenge. Throughout the four weeks, participants worked closely with mentors from Bahrain EDB. Each team also had an external mentor who provided additional guidance and challenged them to look at their ideas from different perspectives. 

Participants also took part in two Presenting With Impact workshops, which helped strengthen their presentation skills and build confidence ahead of the final presentations.

H.H. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, said: “It has been inspiring to see our alumni take on this challenge with such commitment and curiosity. Programmes like this give young people the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, explore real issues and develop their own ideas. We are grateful to Bahrain EDB and all the mentors who supported the students throughout the programme and helped make this a valuable learning experience.”

Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, commented: “Investing in Bahrain’s young talent is a key pillar of the Kingdom’s long-term development. The programme culminated in final presentations, where the three teams presented their findings and recommendations to a judging panel. The winning team was announced following the presentations.

The second edition of the EconoQuesters Programme reflects INJAZ Bahrain’s commitment to providing young people with practical learning opportunities that complement their academic studies. By connecting students with mentors and real-world challenges, the organisation continues to help young Bahrainis build the skills, confidence and experience they need for their future careers.

The collaboration with Bahrain EDB also provides participants with greater exposure to Bahrain’s economic priorities and the factors shaping the Kingdom’s competitiveness. It gives students a valuable opportunity to engage with professionals and gain a deeper understanding of how their ideas can contribute to Bahrain’s future.
