The Capital Governorate concluded its summer activity programmes, organised in cooperation with sports clubs and youth centres, with the participation of around 1,500 students. The programmes featured sports, cultural, educational, recreational and awareness activities aimed at developing skills, nurturing talents and providing young people with a safe and stimulating environment during the summer vacation.

Capital Governor His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa praised the programmes’ success and strong participation, saying they provided young people with opportunities to spend their free time positively while gaining new skills and knowledge and strengthening teamwork, initiative and social responsibility. This year’s programmes also included activities focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, coinciding with Manama being selected as the Arab Youth Entrepreneurs Capital for 2026.

Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the Capital Governorate would continue supporting initiatives aimed at empowering young people and developing their capabilities and skills. He also thanked the participating sports clubs, youth centres and organisers for their efforts in preparing and implementing the programmes and for their cooperation in ensuring their success.
