Makeup Shipment Unmasks International Drug Network in Bahrain

The court sentenced an Asian man working as a delivery agent in a well-known company to 15 years in prison, a fine of 5,000 dinars, confiscation of the seized items, and deportation from the country, after he was caught smuggling marijuana hidden inside a makeup shipment from the USA.

Investigations revealed that he was part of an organized network smuggling drugs through postal shipments, with his role being to receive parcels and distribute them for payment.
The parcel was seized at Bahrain Airport on April 5, 2025, containing three bags of marijuana weighing 1.016 kg, hidden inside clothes.

The defendant admitted to receiving the parcel to deliver it to another person, and lab tests confirmed the substance was marijuana. His phone also contained a video showing a cigar next to a bag with a green substance.
