Bahrain’s Mobile Housing Finance Branch Brings Services Closer to Citizens
Bahraini citizens have praised the “Mobile Housing Finance Branch” initiative launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in collaboration with the Housing Bank, describing it as a convenient and innovative service that makes housing and financing options more accessible.
The initiative allows residents to explore housing and financing programs directly, helping them make better-informed decisions that suit their family and financial needs. Citizens said the mobile branch has raised awareness of the latest housing initiatives and simplified the process of understanding loan eligibility and application requirements.
Ahmed Al Ali, one of the visitors, said the experience helped him clearly understand the financing programs suitable for his income and family situation. “I got a full explanation of the requirements, how income is calculated, and the funding limits available. Having the ministry present in public spaces really makes the process easier and faster,” he said.
Sheikha Adel Al Zayed highlighted the benefits of the ministry’s digital “Bayti” platform, which allows users to view available housing projects, take virtual tours of properties, reserve units, and calculate monthly installments online. “It makes choosing a home much easier, especially with staff on-site to explain every step,” she said during her visit to the mobile branch at The Avenues Mall.
Another visitor, Salah Msaifer, appreciated the government’s efforts to meet citizens where they are. “Having the mobile branch in a mall was a smart idea. I asked all my questions and received clear guidance on the financing options for my family,” he said.
Citizens also praised the professionalism of the on-site team and the convenience of combining family outings with housing consultations. Visitor Khalid Isa Ali noted, “I was able to shop with my family and get housing advice in the same visit. Everything was clear and fast – exactly what we need.”
The mobile housing finance branch is part of the ministry’s broader plan to expand access to digital housing services, promote innovative solutions in the real estate sector, and bring government services directly to busy public areas.
