Bahrain is moving to build a unified government image under a coordinated national branding strategy that aims to strengthen its institutional communication and raise its regional and international competitiveness.

The initiative is being led by the National Communication Centre (NCC), whose Board of Directors met yesterday under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Information and NCC Chairman.

Integrated identity

The meeting, held via videoconference, focused on advancing shared communication services and aligning the government’s messaging structure. One of the key projects discussed was the launch of a new corporate identity framework in collaboration with relevant authorities, intended to consolidate Bahrain’s government identity across all platforms.

According to the NCC, the strategy will help highlight Bahrain’s achievements and support its comprehensive development goals in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Skills and synergy

The Board also reviewed plans to enhance the skills of government communicators through targeted training programmes for employees working in shared communication services. The aim, officials said, is to improve performance and foster a more cohesive and professional communications environment.

Discussions also covered the Centre’s broader ambition to develop an integrated national communication system that supports Bahrain’s progress and prosperity through a unified voice.

The meeting underlined teamwork and institutional efficiency as central to this evolution in government communications. The new direction signals Bahrain’s intent to modernise its communication landscape while building a strong, recognisable national narrative.
