Sports Unity Boosts Youth : Arab Youth Day Spotlight

On Arab Youth Day, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of both the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Olympic Committee, emphasised the pivotal role of sports in empowering Arab youth and building a sustainable future.

Shaikh Khalid noted that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom is implementing initiatives that nurture young people’s talents and ambitions.

“Young people are the true wealth … Their ambitions, creativity, and ability to face challenges … open broad horizons towards a better future,” His Highness said.

His Highness stressed the importance of investing in young talent, creating spaces for innovation, and developing policies that encourage active participation in national and regional development. Empowering youth, he said, is a shared responsibility of all institutions.

Through this message, Bahrain reaffirms a regional vision that links youth development with sports, unity, and progress — a vision shared across the Arab world as countries mark Arab Youth Day.
