Clashes in Diraz Over Illegal Road Obstructions: One Injured

Authorities have confirmed that a police officer was injured during an incident in the village of Diraz after a group of individuals clashed with security forces.
According to a statement by the Director-General of the Northern Governorate Police, the situation unfolded while riot control units were carrying out legal procedures to address road obstructions in the village. These included the unauthorized construction of roadside structures known as madaif (temporary tents or stalls), which were reportedly blocking public roads.
During the operation, some individuals allegedly threw stones at police officers and vandalized both public and private property. Despite repeated warnings, the group refused to comply.
Security forces responded in accordance with legal procedures. One person was reported injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The Public Prosecution has been informed of the incident, and investigations are underway to determine the full details and those involved.
