As part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services, Bahrain’s Supreme Council of Health has approved new fees for childbirth services at government hospitals for visitors and non-residents. These new fees will take effect from July 1, 2025.
Under the updated fees, natural childbirth will cost 425 Bahraini dinars, while cesarean section deliveries will be priced at 1,025 Bahraini dinars. The council set these rates after carefully reviewing the real costs involved, including medical staff, supplies, and support services.
The goal of this change is to keep providing high-quality healthcare fairly and sustainably for everyone who uses the services.
It’s important to mention that these new fees won’t affect women who live in Bahrain or those working in the government sector. They will continue to receive maternity care under the current system, with no changes.
