Bahrain’s Public Prosecution has issued a stark preEid warning to all motorists: violate traffic laws and face the harshest penalties allowed under the Kingdom’s laws.

Speaking ahead of the Eid Al-Adha holidays, the Attorney General and Head of the Traffic Prosecution urged both citizens and residents to strictly adhere to traffic regulations.

He warned that those who put lives and property at risk, particularly during the holiday rush, would be met with maximum legal consequences.

Deterrence through enforcement

“The Public Prosecution will not hesitate to impose the full penalties against traffic offenders,” he said, adding that serious violations that result in accidents or threaten public safety will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

With increased road traffic expected during Eid, the message is clear: maintaining order on Bahrain’s roads is not just a legal requirement but a collective civic responsibility.

Zero tolerance approach The Attorney General stressed that preserving the joy of Eid requires shared accountability.

“Adhering to traffic rules is the only way to ensure safety for all and to prevent incidents that could ruin the happiness this season brings,” he said.

In collaboration with law enforcement, the Public Prosecution has reaffirmed its role in safeguarding public safety through the strict application of traffic laws.

Officials have warned that no leniency will be extended to those whose actions endanger others during one of the year’s busiest travel periods.
