Bahrain and Egypt Strengthen Tourism Ties with Increased Air Travel
His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, emphasized the importance of enhancing tourism between Bahrain and Egypt by increasing flight connections between the two countries. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to develop economic and trade relations.
The statement was made during a press conference held today, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Arcapita Building in Manama, to review the outcomes of the second meeting of the Bahraini-Egyptian Government Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation.
His Excellency noted Bahrain's aim to boost trade with Egypt to over one billion dollars, focusing on sectors such as industry, digital services, and tourism. He highlighted plans to expand collaboration in financial technology and student exchange programs, thereby strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
Additionally, he announced the organization of a business forum in Cairo, where investors and stakeholders will explore opportunities to enhance commercial and investment cooperation, contributing to the sustainable economic development aspirations of both countries.
