Teenagers get prison for injuring cops
Two teenagers, accused of injuring a cop in Manama during a riot, were sentenced to three years each in prison.
As they were below 18 years, they were handed mercy sentences. The riot occurred on March 30 this year.
The duo, along with other rioters, pelted firebombs at officers injuring the victim’s hand and face.
They were nabbed following police investigation that confirmed their links to the incident.
According to court files, the accused admitted to attacking the officers.
They were charged with attacking police officers, hurling firebombs and possessing flammables.
